Evening all,
What an amazing service the RFDS provide. This afternoon we has to transfer a gentleman to Darwin who is quite unwell. Honesty some of the experiences I have had working up here have been amazing. This man came in with a chronic airway obstruction. After assessment the Dr on decided that he was too unstable for us to intubate and that we required a specialist anaesthetist from Royal Darwin the fly down and intubate himso we could transfer hi to Darwin ICU. So, he was flown in, we intubated him in theatre and prepared him for flight to Darwin. RFDS flew in from Derby, picked him up and then on to Darwin. Of course there was alot of medical who haa going on which I won't go into. But without this service this man would have died. If you have ever donated to the RFDS just know that your donation goes to a good cause.
Anyway, needless to say this made the day quite busy. I followed nutrition 100% today but slept in and missed my cardio workout!! I never sleep in...so was a little disgruntled about that. May be it was the over kill and make up for missed workouts I did on the weekend.

Have to go cause me fav show is on....'How I met your Mother' LOVE IT!!!!
