Hello,
Just wanted to quickly touch base with what's been going on with me....
Exercise has been non existant last week and it looks like it could be the same this week..have completely stuffed my back....nothing too serious but is seems to be muscular.
Been to the doc...ordered to rest and given some fabulous drugs which had me sleep the entire weekend. Today I'm off to the physio to sort this out and will go to work. I only have preadmission clinic today but tomorrow we are operating so I may need to re think being the scrub nurse for the day.
So needless to say, this has me a little frustrated as I can't really do anything. 2-3 years ago the same thing happened and I stupidly kept exercising and was off for months!! So this time, I'll just do as I'm told.
Anyway will check inn again later.

It's about FAT LOSS!!
Good morning one and all,
Isn't amazing how much information is out there about fat loss and loosing weight? I mean, seriously...it's everywhere!! Do this, do that, don't do this, eat this then don't eat it or eat it but not too much of it!! No wonder one can go completly nuts and loose their way!! Friggin hell!!
I have taken out the diary, dusted it off and decided that I really need to track everything that's going into the gob. Even tough I have all my meals prepared, I need to be accountable with what i'm shoving into my body and i find writing everything helps me see what exactly I might be sneaking in on the 'sly'.
And, i have to say it again....it sucks not having my car!!! Especially with the rain at the moment cause I can't get to the gym!!! I got up this morning for cardio and it was pissing down!! Fuck me universe....give me a break!! But I'm not going to get too upset...obviously it knows me or is knider to me than I am to myself.....you see, my back is playing up...pretty bad at the moment...and too much walking or jogging makes it worse. That's what put me out of training for over 2 years just gone. So, I guess I need to rest a little longer...otherwise I will be out again for another 2 years!! And I don't want that!
Oops! Have to skidaddle....time to get my butt to work.

It's raining in May!!
You may think....raining in May?? Yeah, no biggie... Well it never rains like this in May in the Kimberley!! It has been raining here since Saturday....very out of season! It's ment to be the Dry Season here...no rain until at least October/November. So, I can say it is interferring with the exercise cardio in the morning. As I have no car and have been getting around on foot (only unitl next Friday when my car arrives) it has been very inconvenient as I can't ever get to the gym without getting soaked through!! Yesterday was a rest day, so that has worked out OK...but today I had to give the cardio a miss :( and hopefully I will finish work before the gym closes otherwise...another rest day!! Grr!! Just when I am getting into the swing of things...It's like the universe is working against me!!
Maybe I'm just being paranoid!!
Not to worry, as long as I am eating well I will ahve to make up for it later in the week.
I have set a new fitness goal today of e=being able to jog/walk 20km before the wet season starts. I'm joggin 10km just under an hour...so have set a new goal to see me through to working toward competing in a marathon sometime next year...just have to locate where and when. I think setting a new goal will help keep me focused when doing cardio and working toward something will have me work that little bit harder!
Well, that's all to report today. Had the west African chicken last night for dinner...YUMMO!!! Love it!

It's never too late
Well, here I am again...
It has been way too long between blogs to start here with what's been going on with me, so to spare you all the details....we will just start with today okey doke??
Today is day 1 of (1,2,3....) i can't even recall, of a 12 week challenge for me. And already I am off to an interesting start....no tape measure to be found ( and no that's not an excuse!!). But it might have to do with the fact that I have been back and forth across this great country since August last year that I have shit on one side of the country and shit on the other!!! And sometimes I'm finding that the shit I need is not where I need it at the time!! Ah well, shit happens eh?
I'm pretty organised food wise for the week. I made the West African Chicken that Sue from IBO featured in the IBO newsletter this month....YUMMO!! I made enough for 5 days as we have a pretty busy operating week this week and I don't want to be cooking after a long day. I made the Nutta a mince cottage pie which will also see him through the week.
Training wise....i started last week and today was a rest day for me proving very useful as I have paid a few bills and checked out what has been happening in the land of cyber exercise!!
You may recall that I was planning to do a perioperative course this year?? Well, plans didn't eventuate...courses dropped blah, blah, blah. But something I did realise was how much I want to be with the Nutta....i missed terribly and find I am much more at peace being here with him. So, I have changed the goal posts a little and altered the attitude!! Look out!!!
I want to offer my support to Young Jude who is taking on the 25 day joel Marion Extreme fat loss diet today!! Go girl!! If you want to check it out go to her blog as she is vlogging each day. Best of luck Jude...I have no doubt you will kick arse!!!
Ok chicks, I have a few chores to do before I head to work so i will leave it here for today.
Looking forward to the next 12 weeks...I will post my measurement the moment I buy/find the tape measure.
