Helloooo everyone.
I hope everyone has had a fabulous festive season and all geared up for Year of the SEXY Bitch!!
Thanks Kristin for the suggestion of the slogan for 2010! And yes, I have the song on my Ipod and love turning up the volume during cardio workouts. Definately gets me going!
The last two weeks I have spent reflecting on 2009. It was a big year for me professionally and as I have already discussed in my last 2 posts....probably too much emphasis and not a true balance of other aspects of my life, especially my health and fitness goals. Anyway, alot of deliberation has been going on in this here noggin and some big decisions have been made. I won't go into them today but soon I will shed some light on what they are. Hence, this has been the cause of my absence on the blogging front. One thing I know about myself is when I have alot going on in the membrain I keep it there...in the brain and tend not to share thoughts until I have a few things sorted out. This could have come about from how I was raised but I know I have also inherited this from my Dad. He does the same. i have seen him make big business decisions this way.
Again, as things come to light I will share the goings on with me. Health and fitness wise things are progressing. I have started reading Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle...what an awesome book. Today I have spent some time goal setting. Now, this is where I confess....of the 12 week challenges I have done i have not written down my goals and reviewed them regularly....ever!!! Mmmm....no doubt this has been my downfall in the past...derrr!!! I am still going over them at the moment and will post on my next blog. If you can get your hands on this book, I highly recommend reading it. Mind you, I have promised myself that I am not progressing any further into the book until my goals are completed and I know where i'm going and how i'm going to get there. I'm so excitied!!!! I can finally visualise what I want to achieve and know that I will get there...nothing is going to stop me!
In one of Kristin's posts recently I noticed she wrote about 7 random facts/things about herself. She then tagged all us bloggers to do the same. So, here it goes.
7 Random things about me:
1. I am petrified of FROGS!! All frogs!!, Big, little, green or brown. If I come across one in my path...I'll turn around and go the opposite direction!! It's weird because I actually like them but I'm not reaaly sure why I'm scared of them. I remember when I was about 5 yrs old I had a dream where all these, happy, smiling frogs were trying to smother me. It could be why. And it's really inconvenient up here cause frogs are everywhere!! in the toilet, on the front porch rail etc.
2. I was raised by my Dad. Actually, he raised my brother and I along with help from my grandparents and aunty. We had a pretty great childhood and Jason dad and I love to talk about the funny things that happened. Like the time Dad rang our High School Principal and tore shreds off him after Mr Gordon accussed me of being in the local pub on a Friday night. i was 16 years old at the time and Dad was pretty strict. Jason and I stood outside the office door as Dad gave Mr Gordon what for!!!
3.i can touch my nose with my tongue. As gross as this sounds I can actually stick my tongue up my nose!!! Something I also inherited from my Dad.
4. As sad as this may sound, I love Country music. Not just recent stuff like Garth Brooks or Faith Hill or Tim McGraw but.....Charlie Pride, Kenny Rogers, the Bellamy Brothers and Charlie Rich. Probably because that is all I heard growing up. I would love to see any of them live. Oh, and not only that but I LOVE ELVIS!!! He's the KING!!
5. I lived and went to school in the USA when I was 8-9yrs old. We lived in Clewiston, Florida. Dad worked over there with the Sugar Industry. We lived on a large property with other Australians but were the only kids there. We went to school on one of those yellow buses and you could buy your entire lunch for a dollar. We experienced Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, valentines day, Easter and 4th July. Wow!!! They always go all out. This is probably where i developed my love for Elvis because amongst all the other touristy things we did we went to Graceland! Out of our whole time there I remember this place the most vividly!!
6. I don't like mangoes, avocadoes, blueberries or dessicated coconut. But as a child I would eat mangoes straight off the tree and avocades on toast for breakfast.
7. And finally, in November 2006, I performed in a local production of Grease and was casted as "Sandy". And no, I didn't dye my hair blonde. I refused to. So I was a brunette Sandy. It was the best experience and I absolutley loved it! The whole cast had an awesome time with 3 sold out shows. I do have some photo's some where and if I find them I promise to blog some.
So, there you have it...a little about me.
I look forward to hearing more about you gys out there.
On that note...that's it for me for one night.
Ciao for now kitty cats!!
